Craps is a hugely popular dice game and the Craps tables are always the most exciting table in the big Vegas Casinos, with players and the audience taking an active role in the game, adding to the atmosphere with loud cheers and shouts of crazy predictions. Craps is a game of chance and the most basic of Craps strategies is to predict the outcome of the roll of the dice. From a beginners view, a game of Online Craps can seem fairly complex but once you've grasped the basics it offers a captivating experience. Online Craps uses two identical dice and is based on how often the two dice combine to produce the number 7 and how the other numbers compare with it.
Craps Strategies - Getting Started
To start learning the game of Online Craps it is important to first get your head round the basics of this dice game. As mentioned earlier, Craps can look complicated but you begin playing by just learning a few of the betting options.
The opposite faces of a die always add up to 7 (1 is always opposite 6, 2 is always opposite 5 and so on).
There are 6 numbers on each die and so a pair of dice give you 36 different combinations. Online Craps is based on how often these different combinations appear. See below all the different combinations:

Naturals - The total of the two dice adds up to 7 or 11
Craps - The total of the two dice adds up to 2, 3, or 12

Craps Strategies - Basic Strategy
You roll the dice with three possible outcomes - a Natural, a Point or a craps. Let's concentrate on the most basic Craps strategies you can make in a game of online Craps, as well as their payoffs on the Craps table. Payoff for all wagers are 1 to 1.
Pass Line WagerIf you roll a Natural (7 or 11) a pass line wager is won.
If you roll a Craps (2,3 or 12), the pass line wager is lost.
If you roll a Point (4,5,6,8,9 or 10) you then continue rolling the dice until you either, roll the Point number again which means the pass line bet is won, or you roll a 7 which means the pass line bet is lost.
If you roll a Natural (7 or 11) a don't pass line wager is lost.
If you roll a Craps (2,3), the don't pass line wager is won.
If you roll a 12, the bet becomes a "Push" and you get your money back.
If you roll a Point (4,5,6,8,9 or 10) you then continue rolling the dice until you either, roll the Point number again which means the pass line bet is lost, or you roll a 7 which means the pass line bet is won.
If you then roll a Natural (7 or 11) a come wager is won.
If you then roll a Craps (2,3 or 12), the come wager is lost.
If you then roll a 4,5,6,8,9 or 10 that number becomes the Come Point, you then continue rolling the dice until you either, roll the Come Point again which means the pass line bet is won, or you roll a 7 which means the Come Wager is lost.
If you roll a Natural (7 or 11) a don't come wager is lost.
If you roll a Craps (2,3), the don't come wager is won.
If you roll a 12, the bet becomes a "Push" and you get your money back.
If you roll a Come Point (4,5,6,8,9 or 10) you then continue rolling the dice until you either, roll the Point number again which means the pass line bet is lost, or you roll a 7 which means the pass line bet is won.
Craps Strategies - Craps Tips
Don't be intimidated by what looks from the outside a very complicated game. It is possible to play for fun at the best casinos (not playing for real money) and we recommend playing Online Craps for fun until you are 100% confident with rules, the betting and the terminology of the game. This will save a lot of wasted bets during what is a steep learning curve.
When you start playing for real money, make sure you are comfortable with your betting patterns and don't be tempted to make extravagant bets that you don't quite understand.

There are a number of Craps strategies used when playing Online Craps, it depends on you as a player. If you enjoy a long, low risk game then concentrate on the Pass Line/Don't Pass Line wagers and Come/Don't Come wagers explained above. If however you're looking for high risk, big wins then high-odds wagers are for you.
